Prepare forms. Review documents. Collect signatures on a tablet.

Return to the sandbox

Test environment only. This is a separate demonstration workspace, not the live METRIC system. Use fictional names and sample information. Do not upload confidential project records or reuse another person's signature. Demo signatures must not be presented as operational approvals.

1. First Sign-In

  1. Open https://demo.ims.metric.pl after the owner confirms that the demo is live.
  2. Use login ot-demo and the temporary password supplied separately.
  3. Set a new password when prompted. Use at least 12 characters and do not reuse your work password.
  4. The document list opens directly. There are no sales, finance, personnel or account-management modules in this demo.

The test login is a shared evaluation account, not a separate verified identity for each signer. Keep access within the agreed testing group and sign out on shared devices.

2. A Quick First Test

  1. Select New from template, choose Toolbox Talk and select Create draft.
  2. Enter a sample date, location, work description and the other required answers in the blue fields. Choose a demo supervisor and enter fictional participants.
  3. Select Save draft, then Preview draft PDF. Check the content, layout and participants.
  4. Tick the review confirmation and select Approve for signing.
  5. For the selected participant, choose Sign in person, then Sign. Draw in the large central signing window with a finger, stylus or mouse.
  6. Select Use signature, confirm consent and save the signature. Repeat for the remaining test participants.
  7. Download the signed PDF. Return to the document list to review the status.

Approval locks the content for signing. To test different content after this stage, create another draft. Each signer should draw their own signature; do not generate or copy signatures on behalf of other people.

3. Create and Fill Documents

OptionWhen to use it
New from templateCreate a document from an available TBT, DPR or published custom template. Fill the highlighted fields while retaining the original PDF layout.
New documentUpload an already completed, unsigned PDF, up to 15 MB, and specify the participants. This option collects signatures; it does not turn the PDF into an editable form.
TemplatesImport a blank unsigned PDF, inspect suggested fields, adjust or add fields and publish a reusable template.

4. Build a Template From Your PDF

  1. Open Templates. Enter a name, choose your blank PDF and confirm it contains no previous signatures.
  2. Select Upload and analyse PDF. Existing form fields or recognisable borders may provide suggestions. Automatic detection is not guaranteed, particularly for scanned or unusual layouts.
  3. Check each field. Use Add field for missing text, multiline text, date, time, checkbox, dropdown or signature fields.
  4. Move and resize fields over the PDF. Set labels, options and any fields required before signing.
  5. For a signature field, set its Signer number. Match those numbers to the participant order when creating a document.
  6. Confirm that you checked the fields and select Publish template. It will then appear under New from template.

Template changes apply to new documents. Existing documents retain their saved template version. Built-in templates in this demo can also be edited or archived without changing the live system.

5. Daily Progress Reports

  1. Create a DPR from its template or open an existing draft.
  2. Fill the blue fields with sample project, team, weather and report information. Weather is entered manually.
  3. In Activity log, enter Start, Stop, Location and Activity, then select Save activity. The entry moves to the first free table row and the draft saves without closing.
  4. The saved Stop time becomes the next suggested Start time. A Start time alone is not added to the table and does not prevent review or signing.
  5. Use Take photo on a supported tablet or select a sample image. Check the date, project, description and location used in the photo stamp.
  6. Select Save and return to list to pause, or Save and review PDF when ready. A DPR can be signed with optional fields left blank.
  7. After the SM signs, download the signed PDF and Download unsigned Excel. The XLSX contains the report data without signature ink.

For the next day, use New day. Shared project information is retained; new daily activities, weather, photos and signatures need to be entered. For a project-linked DPR, this opens its project workflow.

6. Repeat a TBT

Select Copy TBT for an existing current TBT. Choose the work date, defaulting to the next day, and select Create copy. The new draft retains the answers and participants, but no signatures or approval. Review every carried-forward safety answer against the new day's conditions. A project-linked copy stays in that project and will not overwrite an existing TBT for the chosen day.

7. Projects and Rotations

Open Projects / rotations, then New project / rotation. Set the name, dates, time zone, supervisor, team and work scope. The suggested names and project are fictional demo data.

You can create reports manually for a selected day. To try scheduled drafts, set the shift hours and enable Automatic drafts 15 minutes before shift. This prepares drafts inside the demo while its server is running; it does not approve or sign them. Always check proposed content and real conditions before signing an operational document outside this demo.

8. Save, Remove and Restore

9. Connection or Save Problems

Wait for the server's saved confirmation. If a request is interrupted, use the displayed retry action rather than making a second document. If the application reports a conflict, reopen the saved document before editing. Do not assume a signature was saved until its status confirms this.

No email invitations, external signing-provider integration or live-company data are included in this evaluation. The demonstration captures drawn signatures; it does not claim to provide a qualified electronic signature or a national trusted-signature service.

10. Useful Feedback

When reporting an issue, include the test document title, the action you took, the expected result, your device/browser and a screenshot without passwords. Suggested test areas: field placement, participant order, signing comfort, PDF layout, DPR-to-Excel consistency and repeated daily reporting.
